Overview

Understand what you can and can't do with Standard and Enhanced licenses.

Standard License is ideal for independent creators, websites, and small businesses with limited distribution needs.

Enhanced License covers large-scale use, including national broadcast, commercial products, and unlimited distribution. But not resale or redistribution of the footage itself as a stock asset.

Usage Terms

Can modify the asset: 

You may edit, crop, adjust color, overlay text, or otherwise alter the footage for use in permitted projects. However, you may not:

  • Claim the original footage as your own,
  • Use it in defamatory, misleading, or unlawful ways.


Sub-licensing or redistribution:

You may use the footage for a client or employer, as long as it's delivered as part of a finished project. You may not resell or share the raw footage file, or include it in any kind of stock library, asset pack, or resale bundle.


Maximum impressions/distribution:

This refers to the total number of views, impressions, or copies in which the footage is seen—across web, broadcast, print, or apps.

  • Standard License: Up to 500,000 total impressions
  • Enhanced License: Unlimited impressions

 

Exclusiveness:

All licenses are non-exclusive unless otherwise agreed in writing. You are licensing the right to use the footage, not buying ownership or unique rights.

 

Editorial Use Only:

Some footage may be limited to editorial use depending on its subject matter.

Editorial use includes non-commercial contexts such as:

  • news reporting
  • documentaries
  • educational content
  • commentary or journalistic work

Footage featuring identifiable private property, infrastructure, restricted locations, or recognizable third-party assets may not be used in commercial, promotional, or advertising contexts.

 

Commercial Use:

Commercial use refers to any use that promotes a product, brand, service, or monetized content.

This includes:

  • advertisements
  • marketing campaigns
  • branded social media content
  • corporate or promotional videos

The buyer is responsible for determining whether their intended use qualifies as commercial and whether additional permissions or releases are required.


Releases & Clearances

Unless explicitly stated, no property, location, or model releases are provided with the licensed footage. 

It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the intended use complies with applicable laws and any required permissions or clearances.

Footage featuring identifiable private property, infrastructure, or restricted locations may be restricted to editorial use.


Terms & Conditions

All footage is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. You assume full responsibility for ensuring your use complies with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. ChasingLuke is not liable for any damages resulting from misuse of the footage.
By purchasing or downloading stock from this site, you agree to:

  • Use the content only as permitted by your selected license,
  • Not resell, share, or redistribute the raw files,
  • Indemnify and hold harmless ChasingLuke from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the footage.

 

License Confirmation

The type of license you receive (Standard or Enhanced) is determined by the option selected and paid for at checkout. Your purchase receipt will serve as confirmation of the license granted. If no license tier is selected or specified, the Standard License applies by default.
